Introduction
The Superintendence of Casinos (SCJ in Spanish), since its constitution on May 7th of 2005, has set as primary goals to monitor the development of the new casino industry and to apply quality and transparency standards similar to those of developed jurisdictions.
Therefore, on top of its legal faculties, since 2005 the SCJ has designed and implemented a series of voluntary initiatives oriented to assure transparency, the industry operation and promote public confidence in the 18 new casinos.
Among other trust strengthening measures, the meeting schedule is published in the Website, there is wide media coverage of all administrative actions of the Superintendence and declarations of assets, taxes and equity and drug use statements by the high officials of the Superintendence are disclosed.
Based on these principles and in the Chilean Government policies which bring State Services closer to the citizens, the Superintendence of Casinos has created this new website in order to provide relevant information about the casino industry to the different audiences.
You can find useful information about features of the new casinos, regulations that govern its activity, auditing fields, the applicable penalties, and statistical information about operational results of operators, information disclosed by the regulatory entity, a new section of feedback from users, among others.
