The Superintendence of Casinos (SCJ) informs that during the month of July, all of the casinos affected by the earthquake began functioning, generating a gross gaming income (win) of $ 31,75 million dollars and received 493 thousand 566 visitors, which spent in average $ 34.206 pesos each. In relation to the 15 municipalities and the 10 regional governments, these will receive $ 5,30 million dollars from specific gaming tax and the State will receive $ 2,41 million dollars from entrance tax. Additionally the operating companies generated ,06 million dollars from gaming VAT (see charts in the document attached).
In relation to last month, the gaming gross income increased 82,16 %, considering that the win for June 2010 was $ 17,43 million dollars and in July was $ 31,75 million dollars, amount that represents a higher level of income since this new industry began functioning. This is basically due to the fact that most of the casinos increased the amount of visitors, which implied in total an increase of 77,59 %, -in June 277 thousand 926 and in July 493 thousand 566-. In addition, a higher spending average per visitor was also registered, going from $ 33.665 to $ 34.206 pesos which implied an increase of 1,61 %.
In compliance to the regulations established by the SCJ for slot machines, whose prizes may not be inferior to 85% of the wagers of the total of possible game combinations, the 7 thousand 240 functioning slot machines gave out an average of 93,3 % in prize returns to the players. While the total amount wagered rose to $ 365,83 million dollars, the slot machine win at the 15 casinos was $ 24,59 million dollars, which implies that the prizes awarded came up an equivalent of $ 341,24 million dollars.
In relation to the $ 31,75 million dollars in gaming gross income or win, Monticello Grand Casino represented 35,2 % ($ 11,16 million dollars), Marina del Sol 12,4 % ($ 3,95 million dollars), Enjoy Antofagasta 11,4 % ($ 3,61 million dollars), Dreams Temuco 7,8 % ($ 2,49 million dollars), Dreams Punta Arenas 6,3 % ($ 2,01 million dollars), Casino Sol Calama 4,9 % ($ 1,56 million dollars), Antay Casino & Hotel 4,2 % ($ 1,34 million dollars), Dreams Valdivia 4,2 % ($ 1,33 million dollars), Casino Sol Osorno 2,8 % ($ 0,89 million dollars), Casino Rinconada 2,8 % ($ 0,88 million dollars), Casino de Colchagua 2,5 % ($ 0,80 million dollars), Casino Gran Los Ángeles 1,9 % ($ 0,59 million dollars), Casino de Juegos del Pacífico 1,7 % ($ 0,56 million dollars), Gran Casino de Talca 1,4 % ($ 0,45 million dollars) and Termas de Chillán 0,4 % ($ 0,13 million dollars).
With the July results, the casino industry has generated during this year a total of $ 141,17 million dollars in gaming gross income,$ 23,57 million dollars in specific gaming tax, $ 22,54 million dollars in VAT and $ 11,43 million dollars in entrance tax. In addition, the casinos have received during this year a total of two million 322 thousand 324 visitors, which have in average spent $ 31.903 pesos.
