SCJ INFORMS THE OPERATIONAL RESULTS FOR THE 15 CASINOS DURING THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER

In relation to the previous month, the gross gaming income decreased 10,11 %, which is explained mainly because the number of visitors was lower.

The Superintendence of Casinos of Chile (SCJ) informs that during the month of November the 15 operating casinos generated gross gaming income for (win) US$ 39.97 million and received 473.283 visitors, which spent an average of US$ 84.5 each. The 15 Municipalities and the 10 Regional Governments shall receive US$ 6.69 million from specific gaming tax and the State shall receive US$ 2.53 million from entrance tax. The operating companies, also generated US$ 6.38 million from gaming VAT.   


In relation to the previous month, the gross gaming income registered an decrease of 10.11 % due to the fact that the win during October of 2011 was US$ 44.47 million and during November US$ 39.97 million, which is explained by the 18.18 % decrease in the number of visitors -last October was 578.472 visitors and during November 473.283-. However, the average spent amount per visitor increased –in October each visitor spent US$ 76.9 and in November US$ 84.5-. 


In compliance with the regulations established by the SCJ, regarding the percentage in prizes given out by the slot machines, no less than 85% of the amount wagered of the total possible combinations, the 8.700 operating slot machines gave out in average 93.7 % in prize returns to the players. The total amount wagered was US$ 483.4 million, the win from the slot machines of the 15 casinos was US$ 30.54 million, which means that the prizes won by the players came up to an equivalent of US$ 452.86 million.


Of the US$ 39.97 million from gross gaming income or win, Monticello Grand Casino represented 29.3 % (US$ 11.71 million), Casino Rinconada 12.8 % (US$ 5.11 million), Marina del Sol 12.2 % (US$ 4.88 million), Enjoy Antofagasta 10.0 % (US$ 3.98 million), Dreams Temuco 6.8 % (US$ 2.70 million), Dreams Punta Arenas 5.3 % (US$ 2.10 million), Casino Sol Calama 4.7 % (US$ 1.87 million), Antay Casino & Hotel 4.1 % (US$ 1.66 million), Dreams Valdivia 3.6 % (US$ 1.43 million), Gran Casino de Talca 3.3 % (US$ 1.34 million), Casino Sol Osorno 2.7 % (US$ 1.09 million), Casino de Colchagua 1.9 % (US$ 0.78 million), Casino de Juegos del Pacífico 1.7 % (US$ 0.69 million), Casino Gran Los Ángeles 1.5 % (US$ 0.60 million), and Casino Termas de Chillán 0.1 % (US$ 0.04 million).


With the November results, the casino industry has generated during this year a total of US$ 471.35 million in gross gaming income, US$ 78.68 million in specific gaming tax, US$ 75.26 million in VAT and US$ 32.98 million from entrance tax. During this year, casinos across Chile have welcomed 5.916.921 visitors, which have spent an average of US$ 79.7 each.
